The Norvegian painter Dag Erik Elgin will expose at Galerie Nivet-Carzon in Paris 13 novembre au 19 décembre 2009. With an exhibition which in French has got the name: « Parent mâle dysfonctionnel »
In this serie of paintings Dag Erik Elgin is placing him self in the center of the problematique. Wanting to present a new ideale this artist propose a reelcture of one of the most importent pictures in the modernistic art world. It is from the concept by the architexte terms by the artiste Kazimir Malevitch who in 1915 for his monochrome black accumulated the texts “The Black Frames”. The pictures by Elgin define the sublimity of the black monochromy by Malevitch by mirors and reflections at the picture, which is adressing to the observator here and now.
Based in Oslo, born in 1962, Dag Erik Elgin has been exposing many places in Europe, but he is for the first time exposing in France.
