Since 2002, when somebody found out that the right side of the Seinen River during the summer could be an ideal beach for Parisians and for tourists.

Paris Plage has been established, and is there still in its 9th edition, and it is very clear that it is a success for the city loved by the people living in Paris, and not yet are on Holiday, or are at home for working with all the many tourists visiting Paris all the year around. Or only have desided that Pris is wonderful in the summer and are waiting to go holiday at an other time of the year. And for the tourists, which is making a promenade a long the river and enjoying the quietness, tourist boats passing, and the police boats on full speed, to show how tuff they are.

The Paris Plage idea is something that many other cityes with a river or a fjord in its middle could learn about, because here are all kind of relaxing activities present. massage for free, dance cours, concerts, jogglers, balloon show mens, 9 cafés, 5 Icebars, and not selling small ice, but really big ones, 8 water fontaines, a elobar, and a lot of palms, sunchairs, information places.

Paris Plage is situated along the so called street Georges-Pompidou, between the Metro stops Louvre-Rivoli and Sully Morland, and around the Bassin de la Villette, between the Metros Stalingrad and Riquet on the one side and Jaurès and Laumiere at the other side.
