OSLO: Yoland Correa, soloist at the Norwegian National Ballet, but winner of the prestigious Positano award: most outstanding female dancer on the international scene!

Yolanda Correa was born and educated in Cuba, where she was a soloist in the Cuban National Ballet, which she has toured the world with, before she came to the Norwegian National Ballet in autumn 2010. She has danced several prominent roles in opera and was the last to see in a stage battle between breakdance and ballet in the hit film King vs. Wings. versa the National Ballet

Spectators can watch this fall Correa both in Nacho Duato´s Multiplicity, Forms of Silence and Emptiness which premieres 22 September, and the National Ballet’s Music Hall played the first time 3 October.

Their technique is really amazing, easy and elegant, and their brilliant artistic sense definitely distinguishes them from the others dancers of the evening.”
