OSLO/NORWAY: The world famouse tenor Joseph Calleja filled up the beautiful opera house in Bjørvika in Oslo lat Sunday evening, with a program of famouse opera arias and songs from the famouse tenor repertoire, well known for many of the audience. OSLO/NORGE: 3. april ble årets Musikkteaterpriser delt ut under en storstilt feiring av Norsk Musikkteater på Chat Noir i Oslo. Skuespiller og regissør Bjarte Hjelmeland ledet kvelden an, og etter et glitrende åpningsnummer sammen med kveldens ensemble, ble alle nominerte behørig presentert og vinneren av de forskjellige kategorier avslørt.

PARIS/FRANCE: The Parisian audience still remembers last production of Norwegian National Ballet when they presented a Jiri Kylian program two years ago. That was a unique production as Kylian’s Gods and Dogs was presented in Paris for the first time. With this second production,, Alexander Ekmanns A Swan Lake, the Norwegian company is starting to make a name for itself in a cultural capital such as Paris and confirms its importance on the world’s ballet scene. VIENNA/AUSTRIA: The Norwegian conductor Eivind Gullberg Jensen is making his debut at the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), with the opera “Tosca” by Giacomo Puccini, starring two of the biggest opera stars of our time, Jonas Kaufmann and Angela Gheorghiu.
The premiere will take place on 5 May 2017. According to our research, Eivind Gullberg Jensen will be the first Norwegian conductor to perform at the Vienna State Opera in 150 years of existence of this famous theatre. He will be leading the Wiener Philharmoniker, the renowned orchestra that plays the popular New Year’s Concerts in Vienna
MONTE CARLO/MONACO: The Lausanne 2009-production has finally reached Monte Carlo. It has also been seen in Vichy, France, but there are few reasons to export it further. Though with the excellent soloist cast of Monte Carlo it does survive. Review by Torkil Baden.

PARIS/FRANCE: One of the worlds real famouse sculptures Auguste Rodin, who very many of the audience in one ore other way is familiar with is Auguste Rodin, who made some iconic sculptures. To mark the centenary of his death, the Musée Rodin and Réunion des musées nationaux Grand Palais are joining forces to celebrate Auguste Rodin (1840-1917). The exhibition reveals Rodin’s creative universe, his relationship with his audience and the way in which sculptors have appropriated his style. 22. March- 31. July 2017. Visited by Henning Høholt.
PARIS/FRANCE: In the center of European Culture something new and interesting always happens. Thursday night it was a world premiere of a new violin voncerto by Edith Canat de Chizy, at the French Radio house with Fanny Clamagirand violin solo, and the French National Orchestra conducted by the Finish conductor John Storgårds. OSLO/NORWAY: Robin Johannsen is considered one of today’s most distinguished Baroque specialists, performing regularly with conductors such as René Jacobs, Alessandro De Marchi and Andrea Marcon. And 23th March, she sings Telemann at the Oslo Church Music Festival.
PISA/ITALY: Manon Lescaut by Giacomo Puccini was premiered in Turin in 1893 February 1st welcomed by a great success as an already mature and personal work of its young author, in fact Puccini was born in Lucca in 1858. It is the third opera by Puccini in chronological order (before Manon Lescaut Le Villi and Edgar were premiered) and is inspired by the Abbot Prévost’s novel. MUNICH/GERMANY: It is always a great pleasure to visit Munich, as in Munich, capital of Bayern, there is always something new to enjoy in the wide culture world. – Not only opera, ballet, classical music, also castles, expositions, parks, markets. PARIS/FRANCE: Les Ballets de France is a young but very promising company founded in 2014 by Rémi Lartigue. After a lightning career at the Milwaukee Ballet and the Florida Ballet, Lartigue came back in France in 2014 to create his company, at only 21 years old. Passionate, Lartigue is willing to share his love of dance and Ballet with the largest audience and make this art more accessible to neophytes by offering popular but highly demanding shows. TOURS/FRANCE: 10. March 2017 Her Majesty The Queen attended the opening of the new Centre de Création Contemporaine Olivier Debré in Tours, France. The opening exhibition has strong ties to Norway.
PARIS/FRANCE: The Opera de Monte Carlo guesting with Giuseppe Verdis opera Simone Bocanegra, concertant at Théatre des Champs Élysées in Paris, became a huge succes for the company, for then theatre and for Les Grand Voix who had taken the initiative to bring all the ensemble inclusive outstanding soloists, orchestra and choire to Paris for this evening, where the theatre was packed, and the applause and brave would´t stop.
