Mehta – Matsuev with Liszt 2, in Firenze



Zubin Mehta, conductor  and  Denis Matsuev, piano with FRANZ LISZT Concerto n. 2 in la maggiore R. 456 for pianoforte and orchestra, and ANTON BRUCKNER Sinfonia n. 8 in c minor with Orchestra Maggio Musicale Fiorentino,  in Florence, Italy at Teatro Comunale 2014 April 5th. 

Denis Leonidovich Matsuev, pianist (born 1975), was performing Lizst no 2 pianoconcerto in Florenze, conducted by Zubin Mehta.

FIRENZE/ITALY: It was a wonderful evening at Florence’s Teatro Comunale, with Indian conductor Zubin Mehta really in great shape. On the program, Liszt’ Concert Nr. 2 for piano and orchestra, a work not so famous and much less performed than Concert Nr. 1

The conductor and Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Orchestra, both in a perfect shape, had a very warm success form the audience that filled up the House. It was really a very beautiful concert, to remember.
