Salzburger Marionetten Theater at Théâtre Déjazet, Paris November 16 – December 16, 2012.

PARIS: The world famouse Salzburger Marionetten Theater from Salzburg are visiting Paris for a periode, premiere with The Magic Flute  by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, November 16th until December 16th 2012 at Théâtre Déjazet, and following up with A midsummer Nights Dream by Shakespeare and the Teatrologie by Richard Wagner during the same periode.

100 years Jubilee day is February 27th 2013,  When Anton Aicher,  the founder, 100 years ago presented his first little marionet performance Bastien and Bastienne, by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Salzburg, with some marionettes, that he has produced him self. The succes was so great, that he desided to continue the project, and in October he rented a room in the Bishops Palace, to make his little theatre and present performances to the audience. It became a succes, and spite in a periode during the First World War, it continued, and in 1928 it started touring.

To day  Salzburger Marionetten Theater performs 160 performances at home in Salzburg and app. 150 performances on tour world wide
