L’Italiana in Algeri at the Opéra de Lausanne


italiana-in-algeriposter-jpgFrom November 26, the Lausanne Opera offers L’Italiana in Algeri by Gioacchino Rossini, under the musical direction of the chief Italian Ottavio Dantone, who previously headed Giulio Cesare in Egitto in 2008 at the Salle Métropole, and directed by Emilio Sagi.

The cast and you will discover for the first time at the Opera de Lausanne: mezzo-soprano Anna Bonitatibus in the role of Isabella, and tenor Lawrence Brownlee as Lindoro
.

In this comic opera in two acts, we find Luciano Di Pasquale (Mustafa), Riccardo Novaro (Taddeo), Alexander Diakoff (Haly), Elizabeth Bailey (Elvira) and Antoinette Dennefeld (Zulma).

The Lausanne Chamber Orchestra will perform this masterpiece of Italian comic opera with the Opera Choir of Lausanne, prepared by Véronique Carrot.

The show is a new production of the Opéra de Lausanne in coproduction with the Teatro Municipal in Santiago, Chile and WABA-Bilbao
