Landestheater in Salzburg are presenting an impressive young and renewed L’Elisier d’Amore in Salzburg. With a lot of wonderful outstanding young singers in all the leading roles, and a very good sounding orchestra

Salzburg is not only the famouse Salzburg Festival with all the old famous conductors. Unfortunately in the shadow of these famouse names the “local” operahouse Salzburger Landestheater is presenting performances of the highest possible quality with excellent soloists. Headed by two young singing stars, Simona Mihai as Adina and the wonderful tenor John Zuckerman as Nemorino.  In addition a renew idea for Dulcamara very well presented by Hubert Wild, and the handsome Belcore was Simon Schnorr. Giannetta with the wellknovn aria about that Nemorino has been rich was sung by Laura Nicorescu.

It is long time since I have heard such beatiful singing voices.choir and orchestra, and in addition good settings
. Pleasant atmosphaere, and it is situated in a beautiful buiding giving a bit of the “old fashion” atmosphaere, reminding me of other famouse operahouses like in Praha, Monte Carlo, but in fact the Salzburg one is very well situated in the city, visible, and not hidden away. – For every one going to Salzburg. Salzburger Landestheater is a must. – Good acoustic.
