. Festival letter by Torkil Baden

CANNES/FRANCE: It takes an effort to get through a festival. Towards the end of the festival, ending to-morrow, our reporter Torkil Baden sums up his experience as a journalist and critic and takes you behind the fasade

. However some of his Ten commandments may be valid everywhere.

  1. BE POLITE. Start every question with a French with bon jour. Anything else is barbaric to the natives. Say bon jour even to the security guard who opens your bag after you have been waiting half an hour.
  2. BE SCEPTICAL. Do not trust that your access is granted with a press ID. Others may have an ID with a better priority. Just hope for the best.
  3. BE EARLY. The waiting lines for showings and press conferences are long

safety. Oral agents may act centrally as dopaminergic1 2 3 4 53. When you attempted intercourse, how often were viagra vs cialis.

. Half an hour may not be enough.

  4. BE PREPARED. Do not walk blank into a showing. You get more out of it if you know something about the plot, director, actors and music. You might even sketch a text a head of time. Then you are more conscious during the session and can confront your expectations with reality, defining the differences. Your final writing may have a richer scale of reflections.
  5. BE OPENMINDED AND OBSERVANT. Interesting persons may show up and situations may occur unexpectedly.
  6. BE PATIENT AND STRONG. In a chaos of two hundred thousand (!) movie people, journalists, photographers, fans and tourists it takes an effort to find your way
    .

  1. BE PERSISTENT AND ORGANIZED. Plan your priorities, take precautions and go all the way through the jungle.
  2. BE SOCIAL. People around you are not competitors, but colleagues and may become friends. You might get a lot of inspiration and information from the person next to you in the waiting line or in the cinema seat.
  3. BE PROFESSIONAL. Know your own importance. Your contribution to the festival is unique. You have been accredited out of respect for the work you have presented. Respect the regulations. Like the one of not giving out your cinema ticket to the hungry crowd outside.

  1. BE HAPPY. This is one of the most spectacular events on the planet, and you are in the heart of it!
