Fantastic meeting with 7 Fingers

SANDVIKA/NORWAY: “A perfect marriage of circus art and contemporary dance”. Le Journal de Montreal wrote after the premiere. And Radio Canada followed up with “Completely crazy and absolute magnificent”.

To start with the ending. NOCTURNES (piece #3) Choreographed by Marcus Moreau
. The “show” was extraordinary, amazing, amusing, brilliant and very musically made.

It shows “all” the sides of dance/circus in the most delicious and virtuose way, and the audience in the absolutely sold out Bærum immediately gave a standing applause to the whole group.

First part, ANNE & SAMUEL (piece #1) by Marie Chouinard, was an interesting erotic pas de deux på crutches, where two dancers showed their erotic, dancing and visual contemporary balances in many ways, well followed by good music and light.

Second part, VARIATIONS 9.81  (piece #2) by Victor Quijada, is in three parts, based on balances of all kind on low and high sticks, it starts very musically to piano music and has a good developement. In its second part, i loved the feeling of underwater flowers, medusa, where the five dancers manage to make many beautiful forms of underwater flowers, well underlined by the discrete lightning in dark shades, the third part is fresh, a lot based on Hip hop, Urban Street Dance, but still full of difficult details, and in these part i felt that all the group has been warm.
