ARVO PÄRT in Paris

PARIS/FRANCE: In connection with Arvo Pärts 80 years birthday 11th September

. During two days 19th and 20th
. September Orchestre de Paris directed by its musicchief Paavo Järvi, the Philharmonie in Paris are celebrating the word famouse Estonian composer Arvo Pärt by performing 8th of his most remarkable works. at two concerts where not one seat was free. 

It was extraordinary experience. First that the international audience through this initiative from Paavo Järvi got the possibility to get deeper in to the Aro Pärt world of music, and furthermore so concentrated, and last but not least that the composer himself was present and was in good mood, and even had time to sign CDs and books, The first evening i noticed more than 200 people quing up for signatures. Fantastic.
