PARIS/FRANCE: Canadian National Ballet, artistic directeur Karin Kain, presents for the first time in 45 years, the Canadian company in Paris. With John Neumeiers ballet NIJINSKY who tells about the beautiful love affair between the young dancing star Nijinsky – Guillaume Cote and his mentor Serge Diaghilev – Evan McKie. A fantastic performance about one of the 20th centurys famouse gay love affairs.

Who unfortunately was being spoiled by the woman, Romula Nijinsky – Jenna Saveloy , who pressed her self in between the two lovers, and married Nijinsky, who unfortunately was too week to resist the pressure and following his heart, and stay by the one person i see as his big love Diaghilev. – At least that is how it is presented, seen with my eyes, at this actual ballet performance in Paris.

Canada National Ballet is, as far as i know, the first, and only company, who has got permission by mr. Neumeier to reproduce this ballet. With this very good, large, young compani and its excellent etoiles it is a great success for the company.
