There will be performances of two extraordinary operas by two of the world’s best-known operatic composers: Giuseppe Verdi’s »Falstaff« and Richard Wagner’s »Parsifal«. These represent a brand-new production and a revival, a musical comedy and a »stage-consecrating festival play« to use Wagner’s own words. There will also be three concerts in the Philharmonie, which, as the second venue of the Festtage, has attracted audiences from Berlin, the rest of Germany and around the world for more than two decades. With Gustav Mahler and Claude Debussy, the focus is on two composers who were each in their own way pioneers of modern music. Outstanding artists will add an extra highlight to the Festtage, with Daniel Barenboim present at all performances either as a conductor or pianist. Welcome to the Festtage 2018, over Easter in Berlin!
